St. Anthony Charities

St. Anthony Charities: Sandhills Coalition for Human Care, Life Care Pregnancy center, Parish Food Pantry, Family Promise, WE CARE Furniture Donations, Community Thanksgiving Dinner, Christmas Give a Gift

St. Anthony of Padua has changed the name of We Care, to St. Anthony Charities. Parishioner Brenda Stroker, the original founder of the We Care ministry coined the name over 26 years ago and began extending God’s mercy and kindness to those in need in the community. Over time, We Care became a catchall for the many good works done in the parish. We decided that we should allow Brenda to reclaim the We Care name for her specific ministry as explained below.

When parishioners give to St. Anthony Charities, financially or by donations of food or household goods, they are doing the corporal works of mercy. The following charitable works now fall under the St. Anthony Charities umbrella.

Emergency Food Pantry
We need a continuous donation of nonperishable food items for the emergency food pantry, which is located in the parish office.

Food Pantry Hours
Tuesday through Friday
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Give a Gift Christmas Program
We host this holiday giving program yearly and welcome both volunteers and donations.

Family Promise
As Family Promise has acquired its own facility to host families, we are no longer hosting women and children at our parish facility. However, the needs are still there for volunteers willing to assist in a variety of tasks that serve the needs of the women and children who participate in the Family Promise program.
