Unlocking The Mystery Of The Bible

If you would like to have a deeper relationship with God and a better understanding of your faith, then join us for Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible. This bible study program is designed to help you uncover the story woven through scripture with a clever narrative approach and ingenious color-coded bible timeline. It is a great way to get the “big picture” of the bible and see how our Catholic faith is rooted in scripture. You’ll see how the bible reveals God’s loving plan for your life, and you will learn helpful ways to put your faith into practice.

The study will take place in St. Anthony's parish hall over the course of eight sessions and will include a series of informative and engaging half-hour videos followed by a lively group discussion. Meeting times are 6:30–8:00 p.m. on the following Monday evenings: August 27, September 10, 17, 24, and October 1, 15, 22, and 29. You can sign up for the study online or e-mail Teresa Hanf.

You will not only benefit personally from being part of this study. You will also help to bring about a profound renewal in our parish as we grow closer to Christ!

Please come join us!

Bookkeeper Retiring

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church is announcing the retirement of our bookkeeper, Deacon Stephen Gordon Dozier, effective on July 12, 2018. We thank God for his 13 years of service to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Parish and our parish school, St. John Paul II, and his sharing of his experience and wisdom with others through countless homilies. We are appreciative of his leadership, piety, as well as many sacrifices in service to others in liturgy, song, and preaching. He has been a mentor and friend to his fellow employees and has worked faithfully despite his own personal obligations, joys, and challenges. May he find many receptive hearts and minds for the wisdom he has to offer and many recipients to receive his love and care. Please see our press release for a note from Deacon Gordon on his retirement.
